About RESNA - Membership
Membership Anatomy
RESNA is a non-profit organization with more that 1400 members. RESNA members share a common interest in the development and application of technologies and optimization of environments, to assist individuals with disabilities and elders to achieve their full human potential and to maximize their independence.
RESNA members are typically involved in policy, research, development, manufacture, supply and practice pertaining to assistive technology devices (ATD), assistive technology services (ATS) and rehabilitation engineering. Many members are involved in the provision of universally designed products and environments to create a more inclusive and equitable society for individuals with and without disabilities. Individuals with disabilities are an important and valued constituency within the RESNA membership.
RESNA membership includes policy makers, researchers, engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, clinicians, consumers and consumer advocates.
RESNA membership includes persons with and without advanced degrees and many having professional certifications.
RESNA membership includes U.S. citizens and citizens from many countries around the world.
