2023 RESNA Conference: Move to the BeAT of Innovation
It is wonderful to return to an in-person meeting! RESNA 2023 will bring us to the Big Easy – New Orleans, Louisiana. With many first-time presenters and attendees, we are thankful for our attendees, members, speakers, and Solution Providers that are welcoming us back in-person with open arms.
Meeting in-person for the first time since 2019, we are excited to jazz things up this year. Be sure to visit the Experience Hall, a lively, innovative, dedicated space where you will get the chance to meet with our Solution Providers. With a number of first-time Solution Providers, we are excited for attendees to create connections while discovering new technology and testing out the newest tech and AT solutions. While in the Experience Hall don't forget to visit the Student Design Challenge finalists, Developers' Showcase teams, and RERC Row participants.
This year we are thrilled to host White House advisor, Director of Student Accessibility and Accommodation Services at the University of Michigan, and proud wheelchair user Dr. Oluwaferanmi Okanlami as our keynote lecturer, sharing the importance of Disabusing Disability. Additionally, debuting this year is session track "Play and Recreation in AT", featuring sessions surrounding gaming, 3-D printing, adaptive sports, and more.
The RESNA 2023 conference includes:
- Inspiring keynote lecture from Dr. Oluwaferanmi Okanlami: "Disabusing Disability: Demonstrating That Disability Doesn't Mean Inability with Outside of the Box Thinking".
- More than 25 educational sessions covering many topics such as Emerging Technology, Play in AT, Seating and Mobility, Access and Communication Technologies, & more.
- 20+ Solution Providers in the Experience Hall, where you will be able to interact with cutting-edge technology with 10+ hours of unopposed Experience Hall time.
- Two Scientific Paper sessions including Student Scientific Paper Competition finalists, plus scientific poster "minute madness" presentations and digital e-posters.
- Opportunity to explore new designs and technology at the Student Design Challenge and Developers' Showcase tabletop displays.
- Countless chances for attendees to meet each other, share knowledge and best practices, network, and enjoy in-person experiences together.
