RESNA’s popular two-day course, “Fundamentals in Assistive Technology,” will be offered in conjunction with
Abilities Expo Boston on September 17 & 18 at the Boston Convention Center.
The Fundamentals course provides interested individuals with an overview of different assistive technologies. Designed for the new professional as well as those who wish to broaden their knowledge base, the course uses multiple case studies to illustrate principles and theories in assistive technology provision. RESNA is authorized by IACET to offer 1.4 CEUs for this course.
RESNA’s Advanced Seating & Mobility Workshop will be offered in conjunction with
Medtrade, October 29 & 30 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. The course overlaps one day with the Medtrade conference, and registered attendees will receive complimentary Medtrade conference and expo passes. The workshop will address common positioning challenges and strategies, including primary seating surfaces and secondary supports. It will also cover power wheelchair access methods, common driving parameters, alternative access to driving, interfacing, infrared transmission, and mouse emulation. This course is designed for professionals with previous experience in seating and mobility. RESNA is authorized by IACET to provide 1.2 CEUs for this course.
