Dear occupational therapy (OT) practitioners,
We are second year occupational therapy students and faculty from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. We are conducting a research study and would like to ask for your participation. The purpose of this study is to examine to what extent occupational therapy (OT) practitioners experience barriers when recommending assistive technology (AT) within the system delivery process (SDP).
If you are a licensed and practicing OT practitioner in the United States, who recommend AT to clients, please complete a survey regarding your practice and knowledge related to this topic. The survey should take no longer than 20-30 minutes to complete.
Participation in this survey is voluntary and anonymous. You may not experience potential benefits by participating in this survey. The information obtained from this research may help to inform OTs about what to do when faced with barriers during future AT SDP. You may also benefit from knowing that your participation may contribute to evidence-based, occupational therapy practice. The physical risks of participating in this survey are minimal and are the same risks of everyday life. Potential risks exist for participating in this survey include questioning your own clinical practices This may lead you to feel emotions such as sadness, concern or discomfort. If you feel any level of discomfort you can choose to discontinue participation at any point during the survey.
