The MARS National Center works toward the future of effective robotics technology for rehabilitation, spanning the range of applications from therapy to assistance after neural injury. Recent work is piloting new applications in spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury and aging, which are suitable to the maturing fields of technology-assisted neurorehabilitation. The broad objective is to progress the intelligent use of robotic devices for therapy and/or assistance. The presenters will briefly present the work from six of the MARS projects, and also speculate on the future of this growing field.
Teleton Foundation Mexico Coming to the US in 2014

Teleton Foundation is a nonprofit organization in Mexico that works with children with disabilities including those with cancer and autism. Over the past 16 years, the Teleton Foundation has built 20 Rehabilitation Centers (CRITs) all around the country. CRIT is the largest private rehabilitation center in the world. Seventeen of the centers are accredited by CARF and have received the National Health Council Certification. This session will provide information about the CRITs and their expansion to the US beginning in 2014.
