The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has renewed RESNA’s prestigious Authorized Provider status. IACET Authorized Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The recognition period extends for five years, and includes all programs offered or created during that time.
“RESNA is proud of our education programs which train 500 to 600 people each year in important assistive technology skills that promote the health and well-being of people with disabilities,” stated Jerry Weisman, Chair of the RESNA Board of Directors. Weisman added: “Our ongoing partnership with IACET is a demonstration of our commitment to lifelong learning and high standards for all of our programs, and we are very pleased to be a part of such a prestigious organization as well as an elite group of organizations that offer excellent continuing education and training programs.”
RESNA will next offer IACET CEUs at the RESNA Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD, June 28 – July 3rd, 2012. This annual gathering of assistive technology professionals attracts a large multidisciplinary group of attendees, working in every aspect of technology imaginable, as it relates to people with disabilities.
