RESNA has accepted an invitation to join the international organizing committee of a new AT design competition, the Asia Pacific AR & TTs Challenge 2015 (Assistive, Rehabilitative, and Therapeutic Technologies). This new design competition seeks to inspire the development of technologies for people with disabilities to live, learn, and work independently. The competition will use crowd-sourcing tools for the initial judging, and then also to fund the winning designs.
The Asia Pacific AR & TTs Challenge 2015 hopes to attract up to 80 design teams to present their prototypes at the RehabTech Asia conference in Singapore, March 26-28, 2015. RESNA is a partner in this conference, and will offer the "Fundamentals in Assistive Technology" course during the event. This is the second year of RESNA's participation in RehabTech Asia.
Teams from all over the world are welcome to compete. The deadline for proposals has been extended to December 20, 2014. Please visit the competition website at www.arttschallenge.org for more information, and to submit.
