"Starting Your Own AT Business: New Market Areas" is a two-part workshop session that will discuss the feasibility of setting up your own AT business. Presented by Jeff Symons, ATP and principal/owner of Jeff Symons Consulting, topics that will be addressed include:
- Company type (sole proprietorship, LLC, etc)
- Needs surveys
- Setting rates
- Naming your company
- Marketing
- Insurance
- New marketing areas
- Working with vendors
- Startup on a shoestring budget
The workshop will be offered on Saturday, June 22 from 10:30 - 11:45am (part one) and 1:00 - 2:15pm (part two).
RESNA 2013 is June 21-24 in Bellevue, WA. The annual conference features over 40 workshop sessions, pre-conference instructional courses, the "Fundamentals in Assistive Technology" two-day course, exciting plenary speakers, a Developer's Forum, a student track and much more. One day of the conference will overlap with ICORR 2013, the International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics, featuring the world's leading research labes and clinics in the field.
