This networking event on April 11, 2018, included about 90 assistive technology (AT) professionals from Pittsburgh and the Greater Pittsburgh area. Sponsored by the Rehabilitation Science and Technology Graduate Student Organization of the University of Pittsburgh, the event included graduate students in the Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology, seating and mobility clinicians from the public and private sectors, physicians, suppliers, manufacturers, adaptive recreational organizations, and other advocacy organizations. The purpose of this event was to connect students, professionals, and advocates involved in AT and bring everyone together to share information. We plan to expand and have this as an annual event to maintain a strong AT connection within the Pittsburgh area. For the benefit of professionals, students, and end-users.
