A RESNA Position Paper is an official statement by this professional organization. It uses evidence and expert advice to summarize best practices for Assistive Technology (AT) devices, evaluation, and service delivery.
Position Papers provide a rationale for decision-making and professional skills for practitioners; and explain the medical or functional necessity of AT devices and services for policy makers and funding sources. According to the policy, Position Papers must be revised every 5 years. Once revised, they are posted for comment by members.
