The RESNA Professional Standards Board (PSB) and Certification Department are developing exam items for the Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) Certification.
The PSB is currently recruiting individuals who practice assistive technology to join the Item Writing Committee. This committee writes, reviews, edits, and finalizes new exam questions for the ATP certification.
The Item Writing Committee will meet in person at RESNA 2012 for training and to begin work. The project continues over the next 4 months to draft and review new items, and the committee meets via conference calls. The term is for 2-3 years, during which there will be an item writing drive again at the 2013 and 2014 annual conferences, and meetings via 1-2 conference calls to add more items to the test bank.
The PSB is looking for 12-15 individuals with expertise in assistive technology, and some diversity in geographic location, professional background, and professional setting to be representative of current practice. If interested, please send an e-mail with your qualifications (CV or resume) to Eric Nepomuceno no later than April 20, 2012, or call (703) 524-6686.
