Committee meetings are open to anyone who is interested in providing input into the standards development process.
We are required to keep a balance of members and participation for all interest groups in each committee. Each committee currently has underrepresented interest categories; in particular there is a lack of user and clinician participation. All perspectives are welcomed and encouraged. For more information about a specific committee, please contact the committee chair or just come to the meeting!
The next face-to-face WCS Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm central in conjunction with the RESNA 2017 Annual Conference in New Orleans. These standards affect people with cognitive impairment, their family members, caregivers and educators. These standards are designed to assist people who have cognitive impairment from conditions such as: Alzheimer’s, attention disorder, brain injury, and cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, learning disability, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke.
