Hello everyone!
The snow is melting, the flowers are blooming, and I can smell the innovation in the air! Earlier this month I had the pleasure of joining a good number of our RESNA members at the International Seating Symposium in Pittsburgh, and it was such a joy to be back in-person with our community again. You can really feel the power of RESNA’s mission when we’re working together with other groups to innovate and solve problems that you know will make a difference.
I’m so proud of the RESNA track that our members participated in at ISS, it was a true representation of everything RESNA stands for. The sessions were led by experts, predominantly people outside of seating and mobility, and showed the intersection of seating and their own fields. Whether it was K-12 education, home modifications, or augmentative and alternative communication, our RESNA members showed that RESNA truly is the professional home for ALL AT fields, and everyone is welcome under our roof. I’d like to give a special shout out to the three engineers who put on a session at ISS, Kayla Ott, John Miller, and Stephanie Vasqez.
Now that ISS is over, let’s build on that momentum while we prepare for the 2023 RESNA Annual Conference, July 24-26 in New Orleans! We’ve just announced our full educational program, so I encourage you to head to our website to check it out. Our Experience Hall is starting to fill up with solutions providers who are excited to showcase their latest tech, and I’m getting really excited to bring our community together again to showcase the power of RESNA!
