Hi everyone,
It’s that wonderful time of the year again when the weather warms up, the flowers begin to bloom, and the innovation really gets going! April is officially Volunteer Appreciation Month, so I want to start this month’s President’s Letter by recognizing the most important people in our community – you, our members and volunteers! Without your support, and the support of members and volunteers before you, RESNA would not have the impact and standing in the field of rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology that we enjoy today.
It's been a busy start of the year for RESNA, but I want to call specific attention to a few of the incredible things we’re working on.
The deadline for our Developer’s Showcase is coming up on Friday, May 17th. I want to make sure all our members are aware that the Developer’s Showcase is happening this year, so please share this news with any of your friends or colleagues who have exciting new products to showcase to our community!
Two new exciting things we’ve introduced this year are our Tech Tuesdays and Certification Pop-Ups, and we have recordings available for both in the Store if you haven't been able to attend yet. Tech Tuesdays are product demonstrations from some of the most forward-thinking companies in AT, scheduled on Tuesdays depending on availability. Certification Pop-Ups are office hours held on the last Thursday of every month, and are focused on helping candidates understand the ATP certification process.
Our RESNA staff will also be available to answer any of your questions onsite at the VGM Heartland Conference, our next stop on the RESNA on the Road tour! If you’re planning to attend this conference, June 10-12 in Waterloo, IA, stop by our booth to say hello and pick up one of our exclusive RESNA tape measures and other goodies!
