It's no doubt athletes need trainers, doctors, and coaches, but what about engineers? As a Rehabilitation Engineer for Michigan Medicine and Director of Technology and Innovation for University of Michigan Adaptive & Inclusive Sports Experience (UMAISE), Seong-Hee Yoon has plays an important role in ensuring UMAISE's participants engaging in adaptive & inclusive recreation are matched with the the most appropriate equipment to be their best adaptive athlete at any stage. In this session, the speaker will describe the roles a Rehabilitation Engineer play within an adaptive sports program and how their expertise in Assistive Technology can translate into the world of recreation & sports.
