Abstract: The integration of VR into rehabilitation has transformed patient care, offering immersive and engaging methods for recovery. However, clinicians face challenges in tracking and analyzing movement data across diverse VR applications. The UoM in collaboration with MXT REALITY, and supported by the Neilsen Foundation, developed moVRmetrics, an innovative VR data tracker that works independently of specific applications. moVRmetrics enables clinicians to monitor patient movements, such as range of motion, speed, and repetitions, providing objective data to assess recovery over time. Designed for accessibility and scalability, this tool bridges entertainment and therapy, delivering actionable insights for data-driven decision-making. This presentation will explore the tool’s design, case studies, and broader implications for medical practice, showcasing how moVRmetrics enhances rehabilitation for patients with spinal cord injuries and promotes equitable access to cutting-edge care.
Learning Outcomes: Understand how to launch the VR moVRmetrics software. Understand how to start a therapy session and record the movement data of the moVRmetrics session. Understand how to access and analyze the movement data from moVRmetrics.
