Volunteer and Leadership Opportunities

Therese Wilkomm What I love best is the diversity of the members; with diversity, comes a collection of innovation and ideas that help me in my practice. ---Therese Willkomm, PhD, ATP and RESNA Member

RESNA is a member-driven organization. While we have a small and dedicated office staff, we would not exist without the volunteer efforts of our members, who initiate and help implement a wide variety of projects and chart our future. Although RESNA is formally led by an elected Board of Directors, the real “leadership” comes from the ground up—practitioners, researchers, policy advocates, and others who offer their opinions and contribute their time and efforts to improving their organization and the field of assistive technology and rehabilitation engineering.

Volunteer and Develop Leadership Skills

There are many opportunities to develop leadership skills by participating on RESNA Committees. You must be a member to participate. Volunteers, including members and non-members, may serve on review panels for the RESNA Annual Conference, the Assistive Technology Journal, and RESNA position papers.
